Hi

Does anyone know if I can fit 2X 3in Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators on my EG hatchback? Im sick and tired of the loud drone on the highway.

And where is the best location? one close to dp and one near muffler?

has anyone tried this yet or will I be the first one to try? I guess I will post results after the muffler shop is done with the install.

 

best thing to use is two mufflers, a round mu8ffler in the midpipe and a oval muffler in the rear section. i personally running two magnaflows on my gsr and its pretty quiet for a turbo car, about as loud as a stock neon srt4

 

I'm using a magnaflow and a ultra quiet vibrant resonator, quiet down pretty well. It is full 3 inch also. Sounds like a just a cat-back installed.

 

Just got back from the muffler shop. They could only fit 1 ultra quiet resonator in my hatch. It is a lot quieter than before but still not like stock. Too bad i couldnt fit 2 of them... but Im happy with the resonator so far. Cant really complain about the noise if you want full 3in exhaust.

I have the exact same setup. 3' downpipe with no cat and full 3" exhaust running a round and an oval magnaflow. It's about the best you're going to be able to get.

 

this is what i did. it was quiet

 

if the tailpipe is not fully out the back of the car... you can experience a lot of additional drone because the decibals will get caught up by the rear bumper and hit the bottom of the trunk which will cause excessive drone in the cab...

my exhaust dumps under the car and the drone is unbareable... im in the process of changing it though so it goes out the back of the car...

 

im running 3" magnaflow res and oval.. im pretty happy with the results. Ive never gotten a look from the cops, its its quiet till you get into boost. Low droning on the highway..
