Default 275-50-15 Nitto 555R or M&T/Street use

How many of you guys are actually running this tire on a stock body EG? I know this was somewhat covered in another thread with a few pictures, but I wanted to dedicate a thread strictly to guys running this tire. SO, exactly how many of your are using this setup on the street?? Please post wheels, the exact offset/spacers used, and the type of tire. Thanks in advance!

I just ordered a set on Monday of the nitto 275 50 15 for dyno only. I also bought 15x8 +20 offset which should stick out a bit but they're just for the dyno for me. +25 would fit and a +30 may also fit on a 15x8. I'll post a pic when I get them if this thread is still alive.

No not really. You have to trim the fender and side skirt a little.

I'm thinking about doing it for street purposes. I don't think the M&T 235's are going to be enough for a 700hp street car. I'm sure with a little rolling, trimming, and the right width and offset this shouldn't be a problem at all. just curious on how many people have done it!

There is a local guy here that runs a nitto 275 tire on the street. It's an ek though with a jojo front end. It fits really well and supposedly he said that he hooks in 3rd and 4th maybe on the street, from a roll that is. He makes a little over 600hp

I've looked into this for over a year and pics are hard to come by. V-SPEC 1 has posted some of the only 275 shots ive seen (thanks by the way). I've asked and asked for shots of a DC2 and only found 1. I'll see if I can find it for you. Oh and by the way this tire is needed at 500whp if you really want to hook second

I didn't find the DC2 but I found these. I believe they are 275/50-15s:

I was just referring to a full boost pull from 40-70mph that spins the 235/60-15s. Hooking from a dig is hard regardless without slicks

i dont think that is the 275-50-15 on the front the side wall looks way too small. maybe they are the 225-50-15 hancooks. which are still a good tire

I agree, not enough sidewall for 275/50 but I bet they're wider than 225, maybe 255s

i saw this in another thread ^^ but im curious to see if it would still fit under a normal front end? by any chance do you have a friend with maybe a eg or a dc that you could put these wheels on and see how well they clearance the fenders and bumper. i dont care about the modifications you have to do to the wheel well but i dont want to cut into my bumper or fenders on a jdm fron integra.

The red eg posted above has widened fenders so you cant really go by that. I agree those also look like 225's on a crazy offset wheel.
