If you're asking a question like this, I highly doubt Pro3s are the cam you should be going with. Those are BIG cams. Skunk2 used to only sell those to a SELECT few builders b/c of just this problem....i.e. if you don't really know what you're doing, you'll f*ck some $hit up!

Those are not the cams to be making assumptions and guesses about before you run them in your engine!

Don't 1/2 *** it. If you have questions, CLAY THE ENGINE!

The only way to be certain is the measure valve-to-valve clearances, and piston-to-valve clearances. You can also 'clay' the motor.

With ~0.012" off the head, safe settings would be +5 Exhaust, 0 Intake.

I am running Pro-3's with CP 12:1 pistons and ~0.010" off the deck height. Cam timing set at +4 E, -1 I.

92typer, wasn't your cam timing set at +5 Ex, +1 In the last time you did the cam dyno comparisons? Did you find more power with the current settings?

I have not been back to the dyno with the new settings. I finally moon-cut my valvecover so I can actually do cam timing tuning on the dyno. Should be within the next month or two.
