KMS Girdle
I was wondering if anyone has heard of the KMS crank girdle's? Also if you have heard of them what kind of quality are they and if they are bolt on or require machining? I was looking at the z10 and ran across these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KMS-B...item5d2817325f . I know that the z10 is bolt on with no dowels. Just let me know what you know about them.
Thanks

i have used KMS products before and they are good of quality. you wont have any issues using that if you choose to use that girdle.
judging from the pictures it looks like a bolt on piece. but most people will still tell you that you "should" have the mains line honed after that thing has been torqued down. not just with the KMS one but all girdles....
personally i had 2 engines with modified mains using a stock B18C girdle that were never line honed. ran them for years (one im still using) and i never had any bearing issues.

I'm currently using one of those on my b20vtec. If you use one make sure you get your mains line honed. Also if you didn't know already, you will have to use GSR main bolts (or studs), a GSR windage tray, GSR oil pickup, and GSR oil pan.
Dragging this up from the dead but are the KMS ones a direct bolt on the B20 mains? No machining of the caps like you have to for the stock ITR one?
