I want to buy either a personal or NRG steering wheel and a NRG quick release, is this all I need to put it in my 2001 gsr?

 

You need a hub. The quick release pieces are for the steering wheel and a hub installs onto the steering column.

also to add, if you have srs airbags, youll need a 2 ohm resistor to put in the drivers airbag plug. this will keep the srs light off and the passenger airbag functioning.

 

Digging this up as I am looking for some tips. I have installed a Quick Release steering and I need to turn off the SRS light in my Dash. Does anyone have any details as to what two wires I have to 2 Ohm resistor? ie: color of wires, pictures?

I have already removed the SRS Wire Tape reel.


**** UPDATE ****
Horn wire and trigger was easily made with some unused TIG welding rod ends.
SRS airbag light was removed by simply unplugging the yellow plug behind the cluster.

Easy Fixes. could have been done better with a resistor, but they work for now.
