Default h22a accord help?

i have a cb7 accord witha h22a4 motor......im running off the f22 ecu and need to know if i am better off running the p28 or p13 ecu? the reason why i am asking is cause im running low on money and i do believe the p13 needs the knock sensor for the vtec to work and the p28 doesnt need the knock sensor......my knock sensor is bad and dont really have cash to replace it so should i just run the p28?

also if anyone is good with hooking up the vtec please reply with and usfull help i know nuttin about it and i was wondering sense its a h22a4 will i need to buy a obd1 vtec selinoid or will mine work with the p28 or p13?

You do realise you dont have to make a new thread just because your last one is further down the page right??
IIRC the P28 ECU requires chipping to run the H22A which will cost you money....

P28 ECU is from a Civic right?? (not too sure on the ECU codes)
If it is the civic one I would think it is just as bad as the F22 ECU as it wont have the right maps in it...... it may not even fire into life.
Run a P13 ECU (H22 ECU??) and buy a knock sensor from someone.

yo sup i did that swap on a 96 accord wagon but i put an h23a,listen u r better off putting the p13 on because i was running mines at first with a jdm p73 and still it had no power to move the engine. put the p13 and run it like that to u get the sensor. well thats my opinion, the p28 without a basemap is worst than the f22 ecu.

an OBD1 P13 ECU is about 100 bucks and even without the knock sensor it'll run well enough to get around. The P28 WILL run the car but performance will be SEVERELY hindered. I would get the P13 both ways, because after you use the P13 if you decide to go with a standalone EMS, you can still sell the P13 out for probably as much as you got it for. good luck

i dont wanna run a p28 cause i gotta pay someone to program it from what i hear.......This makes no sense cause the p13 is the stock ecu to a h22, which should run it obviously......can anyone give me ideas on what could be causing this not to take gas and to run like S***? (Wont even idle)

i wish watertown NY didnt suck so much.......seems like im the only person in this whole ghey state that wants to do a swap.......either that or everyone else is just to god damn brain dead to try to help me.......thats why i gotta get on this forum that no body helps you on either.......wish someone from around here that was good at swaps would get ahold of me.......anybody know of someone in NY state that is really good with swaps cause im sick of this thing and want it done asap.....if not this car is getting crushed at the bone yard, cause if i cant enjoy it after all this hard work to put the new motor in then why let someone else enjoy it with the little bit of simple work it need now? Why sell it when someone is gonna spend ten minutes hooking up the vtec cause they know what there doing but wont help me hook it up....

thats what I was about to say.....

H22a4 is an OBD2 engine buddy. Youre using the wrong ECU. Your running an OBD2 engine with a OBD1 ecu......
