Default Quicker steering rack?

Well I finally rally-crossed my 2000 hatch this weekend (total blast!) and was wondering if there is a quicker steering rack that I could swap in? I am asking because I was constantly having to saw back and forth quite a bit at the wheel with all the tight turns.

Also, not looking to get into power steering, I'd like to keep the car as simple as possible. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does the Integra or the Integra Type R have a quicker steering rack? That might be the cheapest and easy way to start.

does your car have powersteering right now? cause i think i remember seeing a post on here HT about putting in an integra steering rack into our year civic's for a slightly quicker steering...only if you have a power steering rack right now.

The power steering rack has a higher ratio than a manual. So if you want a quick swap (without swapping subframes) Put in a power rack froma civic and loop the lines. There's a DIY on here. Otherwise I believe i've read that the integra rack has a high ratio than the civic's all together. But You have to swap subframes due to a notch somewhere being off. Someone correct me if i'm wrong on that though.

you can prolly find a local rack and pinion shop and have yours rebuilt for faster turns. I had one done at lonestar(in fort worth tx) a few years ago for my integra that was 1.25 turns lock to lock. it was made in house.
