Default ITR Fuel System?

I was wondering if I need to update my ITR fuel system or if the stock will suffice. I have an aftermarket I/H/E and was going to get it tuned but I was wondering if it would be beneficial to upgrade my fuel system before the tune. If so then what should I upgrade (fuel pump, fuel rail, injectors, fpr, etc.)?

Thanks,
Rob

You "could" do it but it would be overkill IMO if you just have I/H/E. Your stock ecu and fuel system is plenty for what you have.

I was thinking of doing it at the same time I get it tuned because upgrading the fuel system doesn't seem too costly and it would be one less thing to do in the future when I upgrade internals. What do you recommend upgrading in the fuel system if I was to after all?

The stock injectors, fuel pump, and regulator are gonna be fine with minor bolt on's. If you had cams, head work, and more compression, then I'd say go with some 310cc injectors (stock is 240cc)

There is really never a need to replace the stock fuel rail or fuel pressure regulator, even if your boosting the motor. The stock Honda fuel pressure regulators are used on 800hp off shore racing boat motors. I build a 200whp B20 in my last ITR and used the stock fuel pump, regulator, rail, lines, and filter. I just upgraded to 440cc injectors, which was overkill anyway.

Save your money and use it towards a Hondata S300 system and some extra dyno time.

agreed. my B20 (220whp) i had 390cc injectors. stock rail, lines, filter, etc. i did have a walbro pump. but that was left over from a previous build. which made 400whp (turbo) on pump gas, and was the same fuel system, but with 880cc injectors.

and before you ask, cuz im sure it will come up. both of those motors relied on STOCK ignition systems also. no MSD crap. all OEM (cap/rotor/wires/coil).

Thanks guys for the advice. Looks like I'll use the money instead for a S300 and some dyno time.
