my 89 crx HF with a D15B2 block and si tranny wont seem to go past 30....anyone know the problem???

 

are the revs cutting out at about 3 grand? are you throwing any codes? is your timing (both belt and ignition timing) set correctly? any recent work done to the car? we need more info

 

lets see turning on my car it acts weird....like when i turn it on i kinda dont want turn on then the idle rate is off..... when i leave the car on for 10 mins then i step on the gas it shuts off car revs slow....i can step on my gas pedal all the way but it will jsut go up slowly.... it wont just jump.....

any check engine lights? if so, what are the codes?
done anything recently? is this a replacement engine swap u just did?

 

sounds like a timing issue or your not getting spark on 1 or more plugs !

 

This happened to me a couple weeks ago. I wasn't getting a spark in one of the plugs. Decided to change wires and plugs. Engine is running perfect now.

 

it maybe the plugs ill try changing it tomorrow or something i guess thanks guys hopes this solves the problem and yes i am getting a code 8 short blinks which indicates TDC Sensor?
