doesn't have to be an obd0 si manifold. many other ones would work

manifold, no, it can be from any mpfi d series civic. injectors need to be from an obd0 mpfi honda, distributor needs to be from a mpfi ef, and ecu needs to be from a mpfi obd0 civic or integra. however if you got everything from a civic si or cr-x si, 88-91, it would probably make everything run smoother.
what i used to do to make it easy was get the motor with manifold the engine and underdash harness from a crx or hatch si (90 crx d16 makes more power than efs or 88s) thats being parted out then lay the new wires throw in the motor bam easy said done
once in you can throw an ek intake manifold and 90 integra ls throttle bodie and if you can find it the oldschool d series trY header pop the hood most racers and cops will think it all stock!!!
