Default Plug for black box oil seperator on D16A6

As the title says, I'm looking for a source for a plug to fill the whole on the back of the block where the stock black box oil seperator is.

Anyone know if Honda has a specific plug for this or if there is someting aftermarket?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Sam

I'm currently running the stock black box to a catch can but now plan to completely plug the block and continue to vent the valve cover to the catch can.

Regards,

Sam

Standard 1" freeze plug, slightly dinked a little, to put it slightly out of round so that it will stay in the hole and seal good. Use some HondaBond. Good Luck.

Check out these fittings from Z10. Might be something there you can use:

All you need is a freeze plug with Honda Bond around it. That will work. However I completely forgot which size it is.

Sam, why would you want to seal it? It's meant to vent for a reason.

I vent mine using OEM black box with two 1/2"hoses to two new fittings to the top of the OEM black box that are connected to an Endyn can with drain-back into a 5/8" line to a fitting in the center of the can. There is never any fluid coming out of valve cover, as I had it to a clear can and nothing ever accumulated in it. It is an air inlet in the OEM system, and does not blow if the OEM black box hole is open. I also run the top of the Endyn can to a clear catch can (Rubbermaid!) to catch any excess oil blow by. My car is turbo with 300 WHP, and my setup works great. Baffles in the OEM can and block design are the secret.

I took a spare black box as you call it. cut off the bit with the oring.
Cut a piece of metal welded it shut and then welded a tab onto it so it would bolt into the block. You could even use a washer if you put the angle tab to bolt it on over the hole in the washer.
Read somewhere on here the fancy aluminum ones even with the double o-ring have fallen out. so i put a secure tab so it wouldn't fall out.
