Default Boosted ep3 Project

Will start off with this is a great website!! Thank you!!

OKay business..

Have a 2002 a3 boosted w/ kpro
miles - 43k original

Right now Im tuned on 15ibs of boost was before problems 250whp

RIght now I have a low conpression in cylinder 2 (idea is bent valve causing leak - lack of comp)
- was planning on buying all new valves, springs, retainers, and all new gaskets (maybe hondata) but than I rememebered the a3 is still an a3.

- now im looking to do an a2 head

my question ???
- when I do the swap will it require the type s ecu with kpro?
- will the a3 ecu w/ kpro suffice?
- will I need to get pistons and rods to balance the compression with the a3 block and a2 head?

truthfully you're better off swapping an A2 or Z1. The bottom end of the A3 is the weakest point and being boosted I'm surprised you haven't found that out yet the hard way.

and I'm betting your low compression is a result of broken ring lands, not a bent valve. If the valves were leaking, you could detect this with a leak-down test.

do a leak down test.....ring will come out of the valve cover breather and valve will come out of the intake or exhost.....
