Default ctr pistons, to gsr or itr

Ok i love honda but dont know everthing. i have heard people putting ctr b16b pistons in a gsr b18c1 block. but my question is the ctr is a 1.6 liter and gsr is a 1.8 liter. How can you use ctr pistons??

The cylinder bore of all b series block are the same in exception of the b20 blocks. The difference is in the stroke.

CTR's not really a great piston for B18C1, though, because the dome is so high it raises compression a lot and can have clearance issues.

lot of discussion in all motor about them. not at all a good choice since the detonation issue and flame travel = missing hp. the p30 and itr domes are far more efficient. besides, you really don't want to be one of those guys who builds a street motor over 11:6-1 or so. without reshaped chambers or forged pistons which allow a tad more {like12:1} you will have to pull timing in order to prevent detonation. lack of timing in the map means less hp, less mpg and more emissions.

Theres tons of information on them.

Basically not the ideal choice, Everyone recommends going p30 if you want oem
