Maintnence Req. Light flashing/odd noise
so as in title my maintenance required light is flashing when i turn on my car but stops after it flashes some. do the number of flashes indicate what needs maintenance? Also i got my car stuck the other day when i was turning around in a street. my passenger tire popped over the curb which would normally be no problem if the dirt wasnt mud this time. anyway my passenger tire was sucked in and the car stuck to the cement and rested on the passenger ide control arm. I noticed a bolt was bent but havent been able to get underneath the car yet. But when i hit a minor bump in the road now or after ive driven for a n hour or so (i deliver) then from the passenger side front wheel well area a metal on metal noise occurs. it stops when i slow down and if i turn a certain way then it will make the noise if it isnt constantly doing it already. ill try and get pics up but any ideas?
I guess you didn't try a search, huh? This has only been discussed here about a bazillion times.
The number of flashes doesn't mean anything. It flashes when it's been 7,000 miles since the last time it was reset. If you've had an oil change recently, just reset the light by pressing the button just underneath the bottom of the dashboard, below the ignition key. If you haven't had an oil change recently, do that, but also get the oil changed.
