bump, it is a 21, and a 1.
as for code 1, if your o2 sensor is going bad it will read a 43. if it is not reading for 30 seconds then it will read as if it was not hooked up there fore code 1.
as for 21, let car warm to normal operating tem. drive the car and let rev past 4500 rpms. if vtec kicks in, then there is no problem. if no vtec, then check wiring. YOU MUST LET IT WARM OR Vtec Will NOT ENGUAGE

Thanks for the answers guys. I have a chipped P28 so it disables the 02 sensor and the vtec is working. The battery was disconected and still has same codes.
i doubt it removes the functionality of the o2 sensor. its imperative that it is hooked up. you may not need a second o2 sensor because of the odb1, but its throwing a code so the ecu thinks it needs to be there.

Yeah I think thats the problem, I'm running the CX harness and the sensor has one cable.
I need to figure out, how to connect the other cables to the ecu

that should not matter, there shoudl be a plug, 4 wires, running off the trans harness. it needs to be hooked up.
i have a quick referance. C111 is the plug you need. although the VX has a 5 wire wide band, you will in fact need to change the wire connector AND ecu. or just replace the wide band and wire it in.

great picture, i just stole it too. quick unrelated question. i have a b16a2 in my eg dx and i dont have the knock sensor hooked up, what problem could that cause?
the probelm with the knock sensor isnt the sensor, its the computer looking for the sensor. use a JDM ecu or one that predates knock sensors (odb1). grab a b16 or gsr ecu odb1 and you will be fine (not that you could plug in n odb2a or b)
