Default apexi neo afc

got an apexi neo today, just wondering if this is good up grade, its a b16a, slight mod headers, Cai, 2.25 Exhaust, would this make sense,

i have heard people say the piggy backs mess up your motor, is this true or they just did crap with it?

If it alters the map signal and you're pulling fuel with it, yes it could mess something up. By doing so you're increasing the timing substantially.
