Default odd feel in the shifter.

ok, im driving around and the car shifts normal. has the typical 3rd scratch at 8k and all. but when im driving and go to down shift without rev matching i cxan feel the gears spining and engaging. i know this is not normal it just started out of now where and its geting on my nerves. what all could this be? a bearing? i have a little bit of a extra noise from the tranny while cruising.

nvm, it moved right into a straight rattle knock sound when you apply load to the engine at coasting no noise....at load it sounds like a motorcyle or moped....this trans is hitting th dumpster...

I have the same exact problem right now. It's driving me nuts, I cannot figure it out. LMK if you figure it out.

would there be that much of a change from going from a b16 cable tranny to the small spline 4.4fd s1 cable ls tranny? thats all i can find right now and i dont want the car to become a complete dog.

I was told it was most likely a syncro gear. Which would make sense in my case, because if I do not rev match its hard to shift and then that loud grinding, whining, baseball card in the bike spoke noise. I have also been told possibly the input shaft bearing or the throwout. And I would feel skeptical buying the s1 tranny, I would just stick it out and buy another b16 tranny or a ys1

Then I have no idea. It is way too cold here to take my tranny out and take a look. Does it make the noise while you push the clutch in?
