so today was a nice day and my sun roof would not open....so i was keep on trying it..stupid me...and it opened.i got home and now one side will not shut.like in the back corner on the passengers side. i have no clue what it can be.its sticking up like maybe 1/4 of a inch.nothing is stuck down there. need some help. thanks

From the inside you will need to drop the headliner and sunroof. There is 1 screw at the back sliding mechanism that over time comes loose. Once tight the roof will open and close normally.

I had the same issue last year on the drivers side. While in there you may as well clean the drain plugs and tray out.

I Had to do this aswell not that difficult. The pain for me was reinstalling the headliner by myself. Id recommend a friend to help out.

 

This PDF should help. It is what I used when I took mine apart.

Here is a pic of mine stuck open. It would pop up and stick every time the I closed the door with the windows up.

 

yeah today i looked at my sun roof and it was closed..?? and i opened it and closed it like 4 times then it got stuck shut..but its better closed then open.but my SR is just like that.

 

better pick up some white lythium grease and lube the tracks and stuff while your in there...
