1996 Integra ls Wont stay running
Ls Integra 100K miles well taken care of. Stalls and wont restart. It has ha[ppened before and usually restarts with some time, but this time she is dead.
Let me explain what it does. it cranks turns over and attempts to run but as soon as you let go of the key it stalls out. Sort like it wants to run but just wont. Now I have read about the main relay issues but this doen't fit the bill (what do you think)
Any advice on where to start? I has fuel to the filter and spark. Is is possable for the injectors to be causing this? it it a sensor that goes bad?
Thanks

It could still be compression. Check for fuel / compression / spark.
You'll need a voltmeter and compression gauge...if you don't have these tools...definitely buy them. You'll easily get your money's worth out of them and then some.
STEP 1. Unless you have a fuel pressure gauge attached, I only know of two 'simple' ways to check for fuel...
- After cranking, all 4 spark plugs are wet with gas.
- In STEP 2, if the spark plugs are hovering over the holes, the vapor fumes will light up, nothing serious, just a very small popping sound.
STEP 2. Pull the spark plug wires out from the head, attach the spark plugs then crank the car. If you see spark on all four, spark plugs are 'likely' good but the distributor could still be bad.
STEP 3. Check the coil in the distributor...almost never a bad rotor or cap...either the coil is bad or the entire distributor is messed up.

STEP 4. Check compression. Compression tends to be lower when the motor is cold. In my car it was 180 PSI for each one when cold, 210 PSI when my motor reached normal operating temperature.
Hopefully it's one of them...except STEP 4!!!!
