Default header question

ok honda-tech im back again with another question this is my setup

slightly ported gsr head
skunk2 tuner stage 1 cams
megan racing 4-2-1 header basic shelf header not 2.5 in collector
skunk2 intake mani
edlebrock 65mm tb
short ram intake with vstack and filter setup
tanabe 2.36in exhaust
stock cat
eagle rods
84mm 10.5:1 comp pistons with my head decked .010 my compression is around 11:1
basic 3 angle valve job

ok everyone tells me my header and cat will restrict my power my question is lets say i change it and get a hytech replica wit 2.5 inch collector and high flow cat how much more hp will it add im trying to see if the power is worth the money because i did have a hp goal but if i can reach my goa lwith the current build i have im not gonna touch it my hp goal is 190-200 whp and would switching to a straight pipe instead of my strock cat be enough to reach that goal

I would get a high flow cat or if emissions arent too bad in your area run a testpipe. I have seen decent power out of megan headers, and not so good output. The hytech rep header will outperform more then likely, has in most dyno tests, and the rmf rep header also has shown good gains as well. just look around at stuff. your goal should be reachable though.

I'd skip the test pipe but get a high flow cat instead. SMSP or MagnaFlow cats will make basically the same power as a test pipe on an all motor build.

ok so the header i have is ok for my power goal just change the cat got ya. but yea i ask because to change headers i have to 1. buy a traction bar because i drive a da and nothing fits with the crossmember there and 2. i would have to have change the cat anyway and cut my exhaust so the header fits just a whole lot of mess just to gain what say 10 hp not really worth it

just do the 2.5 collector mod on your megan header and run...You know that 10 hp for a allmotor engine is something that you like to find in your motor!

yea 10 hp is nice but for a dd car thats rarely gonna see the track it isnt as important to me as it would be for someone who drags there car every weekend i will just tune it with the setup i have now see what i get then if i decide i want more power i can always up grade later

Maybe I missed it but what are you tuning with? How much power are you currently making?

the motor is in the process of being built its not in the car yet but it will be tuned with neptune the point of the thread is what is the hp diffrence from my basic megan racing header and a better header with a 2.5 inch collector i dont wanna spend the extra money on traction bars plus another header plus the labor to get it all to fit on my car if its only gonna be a 10 hp diffrence my hp goal is 190-200 whp wit hthe setup thats mentioned in the original post

You might be able to reach that "number" on a dyno depending on how it reads. The problem is that it's only a number on one dyno. If it's power you're interested in making, change your Intake pipe to a 3" CAI or a customed tuned length, a better, larger header, a larger high flow cat and minimum 2.5"-3" exhaust.
