Default If I switch to a P28 will my immobilizer still work?

I have 01 Type R which has the immoblilizer and I am going to switch to a chipped P28. After doing the switch will my immobilizer still work?

Don't worry, the immoblizer wont stop a thief from taking your car anyways. I wouldn't rely on that to prevent someone from stealing my car.
