It's cheaper to boost

Boost the y8 if you wanna stay SOHC and have a reputable beast under the hood. I had a y8 in my EJ8 and I loved it but when I went LSVTEC, it was a night and day difference. Plus turbo for the y8 is cheaper than going all motor and getting similar results. More bang for your buck, yo.

Even with $10,000 to blow on an NA D series, you still aren't going to make any earthshattering numbers. You're much better off, financially and power-wise, to turbo it. With a simple sub-$2000 setup, you could reliably make 200-220whp. Those numbers would require the aforementioned $10,000 budget for an NA build.

^^I think you're over-estimating how much people will care. I'd be more impressed with a faster car rather than one that's making an unusually high amount NA. If you have the budget and want to blow it making 220whp NA on your D, go for it...on the flip side, you could be making 500whp on a turbo setup with the same budget. I can't speak for everyone, but the latter is far more impressive to me

boost hands down. you're not gonna make any real power all-motor i don't care what anyone says, unless you got a sh*t ton of money to blow. homemadeturbo.com. start reading up son!

Why do you ask what everyone thinks
If you're going to ignore everyone anyways?

Anyways, boost.
And I rather people think my cars slow instead of amazing people then getting jacked
