Default cluster, brake, lock, seatbelt problems

1st some parts on my cluster is a little dimmer than the rest. its really dim between 6-8 on my tack. ive heard that older cars just had bulbs that light it up. if thats true what size are they so i can buy them before i take it apart? and chance of LED upgrades?

2nd i am the third of my 91 crx si and it had power locks but how where they able to make them power locks?

3rd i hear like a grinding/rattling noise coming from my left front wheel area. what could that be?

4th my passenger side seat belt wont retract its self. is there a way to rebuild it to work? im getting tired of telling every person that gets in my car to do it by hand.

5th when i bought my crx i noticed that the two lights by my rear view mirror dont work so when i checked it out it wasnt even connected. so i connected it but now it wont stop buzzing saying i dont have the seat belts on but i have both hooked up. i want it to work but if its to much hassle ill just unplug it again. also the plastic cover that goes the screws that hold the rear view mirror up broke, where can i get another cover?

It is common for the seatbelt sensors to do what they are doing on your car that is probably why they were disconnected when you got the car.

Pretty sure seatbelts have a lifetime warranty just check at your nearest dealer.

Grinding rattling noise could be several things, brakes, wheel bearing, dust shield etc I would check that out soon as possible.

not being the first owner doesn't matter at all.

does the grinding noise stop when you hit the brakes? if so you need new brake pads. if not then check to see if your brake dust shield might be bent to where it could be rubbing on your rotor. if not that then i would think it would be your wheel bearing.

power locks could have been an aftermarket installment by a previous owner.

the lights in the cluster are small led lights so yes you can change them to your liking. removal is very simple. just remove the gauge cluster flip it to where you are looking at the back, grab the light socket and twist it 90 degrees and the pull out.

don't know about the buzzer problem, sorry.

hope some of that helps.
