Icon6 IACV Unique Problem. Help!

Hi all. ill cut to the chase. brother did a auto to manual swap on my 99 d16y8 and have the p28 ecu. I kept the stock auto IM and TB and IACV (3 pin) the same, and the car bucks like crazy, and has trouble idling between 1k to 2k rpm. Ive been looking in threads and am wondering. Do i need to change the TB and IM to manual? I believe i have to change to the 2 pin iacv, but what IACV do I get and from where, do i get the iacv from a manual 99-00 ex, or do i get it from a 96-98 since im running a p28 ecu. does it matter? Open to everything, im stumped.

The short answer is yes. You could do some custom work on them to get the proper IACV to fit and whatnot. Anything is possible with enough creative fabrication. But the easiest and most foolproof way is just get the correct parts. AFAIK if the bolt pattern matches the one on the IM and it uses the right number of wires, it's the right IACV. As long as it mounts to the IM, there's very little difference between one linear IACV and another. Our IACV's aren't known for their longevity so I'd reccomend getting a new one from either a parts store or even better, a dealer such as hondaautomotiveparts.com. If it's too expensive, try a parts yard or a reputable seller on ebay for used ones. Or you might be able to find an IM with the IACV included.
