Default What to drop it in...

Hey,

Don't know if you guys know since I don't post here often (just usually read. =P) but I'm trying to figure out what to drop my built h22 in. I was going to initially drop it in a 6th gen but funds have run way low. Now I'm trying to buy a car for under $5000.

There are a lot of 5th gen's for that price. But if I remember correctly, only the EX have all disc brakes and vtec? Is that right? I found an 1994 EX for $4500 so I think that's what might end up being the donor car.

yup. you'll get: disc's all around and Vtec harness already in place + rear sway bar...

older cars, depending on where your at, you should check for rust though...

find a 4th gen or 5th gen coupe, stay away from 6th gens though, way too heavy and bulky as well...i'd recomend a 4th gen though so you can put even more money into power!...by the way, what all have you done to the h22?

Haha, I konw...but I want a 5th gen...i'm not only going for power but also looks. That's why I orignially wanted a 6th gen. I wanted semi luxury, comfort and insane power.

I have quite a bit done now. Almost ready to drop in a shell:
Golden Eagle sleeves
JE 9:1 Pistons
Crower Rods
Pro Drive Oil Pump Gears (on order)
Ballanced/Bored/Honed at local Performance shop
Moroso Oil Pan
Skunk2 Cam Gears
ARP Studs
T3/T40E turbo
South Florida Performance Manifold
Tial 40mm WG
Tial BOV
Autronic Standalone
Quaife LSD

and also miscelaneous parts such as all new belts and gaskets, turbo parts...etc.

94-95 ex coupe/sedans are your best bet, they have all the options and look awesome. plus those 94-95 ex alloys are sexy.
