Default Ideas for decent exhaust?

Well I just bought this 94 ls, the stock exhaust was trash, I bought a OBX 2.5" ss catback from ebay for 150.00 and the muffler/tip is ugly, but I like the sound not too raspy or "ricey" at all, I would like to go with like an oval polished stainless muffer w/ a smaller tip like 2.5" or maybe 3".

What are you guys running? I was pulled over today because of that gay ordinance WA has that states "no exhaust shall be modified in any manner where it amplify the sound beyond stock. I'm thinking I got pulled over more by the "ricey" look of this muffler/tip.

Any ideas on a nice looking deep toned "not ricey" set up that looks more like stock, but still has a polished look?

Thanks, pictures and model numbers and manufactures would be helpful

by the way, this car is a daily driver, just looking for something that sounds good and looks nice

These sound real good, are straight through, and keep it relatively quiet. The quality is awesome as well. Just hit it with black stove paint and you will not be bothered.. an S2000 tip looks good on it to, just requires a little modifying

Of course if your not willing to have it welded on then disregard this..

I have the Thermal R&D (turbo version) full exhaust, but I am probably gonna eventually install it on my car. I still have that Tanabe, and I'd consider selling it. Probably wouldn't meet the terms of that WA ordinance tho. You can check it out the next time you're in Indy.
