How light is the flywheel in the the kit? Do you guys feel a big performance upgrade with this stage 2 clutch?

there is a difference in throttle speed when out of gear and rev matching gears is easier and more precise.

So, how is the Stage 2 on the street? Chatter? Lots of slipping necessary? Pedal pressure compared to stock?

I've never had a puck clutch...ACT Xtreme PP and Street/Strip Disc and the clutch was totally well behaved, and never slipped, but pedal pressure was close to "extreme" lol

I have a Competition stage 2 right now in my ITR swapped eg coupe. Hate it. Just ordered an Exedy stage 1 from Inlinefour, and the director of sales just emailed me asking if I was sure i wanted an exedy, for 20 less and a better clutch i could get a competition stage 2.

If you read a couple posts down youll read why I wont be going back. I have had nothing but trouble from the clutch, and there tech support. My car is not even fun to drive anymore.

the reason i always recomeend exedy is because they try to maintain stock pressure ratings. lol exedy ftw

I got the Street Stage 2 clutch not the 4 puck. Its actually really nice ++++++ many times. Looking to do a GSR or type R swap soon. I wanna keep my tranny because im gonna boost and I need the longer gears.

Idk about the 4 puck version. I hear its sorta kinda streetable
Dont know for sure but I hear its a hassle if youre going to be stopping alot in town.

I got a stage 2 and its really nice. Similar to stock but you can feel the difference when you have a run.

Hows the light flywheel? I hear it actually slows your car down and its better to keep a stockish weight unless youre going to be using it for corners etc... due to the fact that it raises and lowers the RPM quicker. Theres alot of chatter out there and arguments about using it for drag...

At 350whp, I think you're already too high, let alone at 500whp. The Exedy Stage 2 is rated at 226ft-lb to 233ft-lb depending on the Honda application, according to horsepowerfreaks.com.

I was gung-ho to get it, but this is just above the torque level I hope to be making with the JRSC, so I went with an ACT again.

great, thanks for the input. it does sound like a nice clutch for decent setups though.

I really have no experience with the clutchmasters brand. The only performance clutches I've owned are ACT Xtreme PP/Street disc and HD PP/Street disc. Overall, I was happy with both of them. Check out the offerings on the horsepowerfreaks website I posted. They don't have the best prices, but they do post all of torque capacities of their clutches.
