so ive been waiting all year for income tax time and its finally here i bought a used k20z1 with 42000 for 2000$ and from everthing im hearing my 02 type s ecu should run it just fine long as i use the wiring harness for the k20z1 i just wanted to make sure from some other k series experts

 

Your going to need K-Pro i believe...

 

I mean technically yes it will run, but you will not get the full potential out of the motor...

 

why would you need the z1 wiring harness?

I wouldn't go to long without k-pro with the cam differences

 

Well i have a friend and she has a 04 K20 in her 06 type S and she is using her stock ECU...of course its running like ****(And she has a VTECH controller LMAO) but she's driven on it for a year now. Im surprised the motor still runs though...

 

is this the "vtech" controller you speak of?
