Default ENGINE SWAP NEED HELP ASAP

i have a 95 civic HB it had a D15B7 in it but i took it out and am putting a JDM 98+ TYPE R B18C in it. My question is what wiring harness do i use? Can i use a GSR OBD2 wiring harness cause the TYPE R came with the P73 ECU. SOmeone told me that you can use the D15B7 wiring harness except you have to add a few things off from the TYPE R harness to make it work. Which one would be easier and work better?

I think you should use that GSR OBD2 wiring harness. I am using the same wiring harness. Its quality is good.

definitely use the harness that came in the car and add wires as needed. use a chipped p28 ecu and get a type r basemap from phearable.net

I am still stuck on what to do money isn't a issue its just i called honda to see if they had a type R wiring harness and they said its 739 dollars but its out of stock nationally and they dont know when they arr ever gonna get another one so that kind shot that idea then i found a gsr harness for 80 bucks complete im gonna get hopefully but then someone told me to use the d15b7 harness and just add and get a p28 chipped i just dont know which one to go with. is the chipped p28 gonna make more power is it better? or should i just go with the gsr harness and use the p73 type r ecu for now

wow 739 for a wire harness? if you seriously consider buying that i will personally drive from my home in NC and slap the **** out of you. your dx harness will work fine, and you will only have to wire vtec (at least thats all i had to do for my b16). you can disable the knock sensor if you dont/cant wire it through your harness and the p28 can be chipped to run a type r basemap.

its always better to get the correct harness that goes to the engine so you dont have to go thru wiring issues. the p28 is a good ecu ive seen many single cams,gsr,b16,b20,b18s running a p28 as long as you get it basemap and tuned youll love the ecu
