Default CiViC 96 H22 swap, plz help

I had a B20b with a B series transmission, and i blew it
Now i have an H22 with its transmission, i didn't install it yet
I don't know if i could fit it with its own transmission in my civic with these mounts http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=50454
-My mechanic says that he's gonna have to cut into the chassis for both the engine and its transmission to fit, and i don't want to ruin my car-
and if i couldn't using the mounts, is it possible to use the B-series transmission without buying the incredibly expensive H2B plate?

no h2b without h2b kit , and yes the mounts you posted will work with the h22 swap , there should be no need for cutting maybe some slight hammering on the driver side frame rail to clear for the h series crank pulley

Just 2 b on the safe side, the slight hammering will be done when we use the transmission that came with the engine, right?

go with the h2b. if you go strictly h22, the car will never hold another b/d series again. you will be forced to stay with h/k. the driver side and transmission side of the engine bay will need to be hammered in a tad.

this is not true you can go back to b/d series but you will have to re-weld some things
