so i replaced my blown tie rod ends but i still get this clunking noise when i drive on the freeway like a balljoint is bad.could it be my inner tie rod is bad??
i hope its that easy for you, usually its worse like broken axles, or even a broken wheel bearing. thats what mine was like a few months ago. sounds like a DUNK< DUNK>DUNK noise. good luck
Usually the rack end bushing feels worse when you are slowing down quickly, but i would check for play in the inner tie rods and the balljoints. Bad axles could be the culprit too, so check for play in them or torn boots.
