Weird Heat/Temp Gauge Problem..
I recently purchased a bone stock 95 integra special edition. The car takes forever to heat up compared to my experience with previous hondas i've owned. When it gets hot enough to blow heat the gauge reads MAYBE 1/4.. Sometimes the gauge goes to normal temp and the heat wont blow, then sometimes when you stop the air blows cold and as soon as you start driving again it blows heat again. Would like to get this fixed, so all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
I have the same issue with my '01 ITR. Only the other way around. If I let my car idle and heat up to normal, it'll blow nice, hot heat. Then I start driving on the highway, the temp gauge goes back down to Cold pretty quickly, and the heat isn't as hot.
Think it could be the thermostat?

for the OP, probably also a open thermostat or air in the system as mentioned in his other thread

Update: replaced the thermostat and bled the system... car still has same issue.. it wont even get warm enough for the cooling fan to come on. The heat blows way hotter if your driving than sitting still for sure.. but still not right.
I also checked to make sure fan works, and it does..

Very strange. i dont know of any other reason your car would not come up to temp (other than thermostat). Can you confirm the actual coolant temperature? maybe there is just something wrong with your heater
I have the same exact problem with my 95 GSR I drive for hours and the thermostat goes up to maybe 1/4 if that but I never have cold air blowing after it warms up for a couple minutes
