keep d15b or go with ls b18?
i just sold my 90 si hatch. just the shell cause it was rusted pretty bad. i kept the jdm d15b vtec motor from it and bought another si hatch with a sooper clean body but with a knocking stock motor. well the kid that bought the rusted shell now wants my d15b to put back in the car cause he says hes in need a running car asap. well i had planned on swapping that d15b right back into the new si hatch and id have my civic back and driving again.
the dood wants to give me some cash and a wet nitrous kit for this d15b and im pondering whether to do it or not...whattya think..sell D and just swap an ls or somethin?? open to suggestions

depends on how much money he is going to give you for the motor.... i mean if its enough for your to feel comfortable to buy a new motor for your car i would sell it but if you still have to fork out alot of money to buy a new motor i wouldnt. i d15b is an alright motor i mean its not going to win any power contest but if you just need a running car yourself keep it

well i decided to replace parts on the d15b and swap it back in. ordering the timing belt and tensioner from honda tomorrow. now for the damn crank pulley bolt!
It's good I came through this thread as I'm swapping a JDM D15B into my car. Could you give me the tensioner part number? I saw the thread in the FAQ but I haven't got a solid answer on it. Also are you using the z6 belt?
stay with the d15b my fav, mine dumps on ls motors all day and its even faster than my old dohc zc that was boosted, just do a little port and polish before u stick it back in,
save the sohc
