Building up an engine.....while its still in the car....some questions....
I am looking into the possiblity of building up the ZC engine that I already have, instead of buying another ZC, and swaping it out. I do NOT however, want too take the motor out and build it, as that would just take too long.
-Is it possible to just hone out the cylinder walls for a 1/2mm bigger bore pistons? Or would you reccomend just using the stock bore, with a little honing?
What are your concerns with doing such a build up?
Any reccomendations?
I basically want too save as much money as I can (given), but also make the build up happen as smoothly, and quickly as possible.
Thanks
Bryson

yes if you want to overbore
you have to take it out.
i know there is a way to hone the cylinders with the engine in the car but i wouldnt reccomend it
honestly, its not that difficult to remove the engine
it may take you longer to rebuild the engine while its in the car. and if you remove it, you can do it right. have a machine shop hone it, etc

I've got to build my too engine....I've gone as far as install rod bolts and a girdle with the engine still in the car. I thought that leave the block in the car would work at first, but then I realized it's just ghetto. Bite the bullet dude you're gonna have to pull the engine.
Guess I'm gonna have to buy another ZC then.
