Icon6 GSR B18c1 into EJ8?

What is necessary to do the swapp, ive been looking at this engine that on CL, but not real sure what to expect. Im not to mecanically incline but do know the basics, meaning turning a wrench for oil changes. lol, Well to get technical my car is an auto EJ8, and im really interested in swapping the B18c1, fron a integra that is being parted out(owner title in hand matching vins). What type of problem can i expect. im sure i can get the whole "thing". what should i get from the car? example, ecu, wires, hoses, brake lines. Please im just a noob, done my research but im still comming up short with real answers.

unless someone does this swap for you it's not happening with your knowledge level.

You would need to convert the car from auto to manual, you would need a bunch of parts from a 99-00 SI

i understand your reasoning but, if i dont get my feet wet, how im i going to learn? plus he has tranny, the GSR is complete the wrecked the left side "totaled", the motor runs right now, but the car itself is not drive able. i know i will need a manual shift linkage but can i just find a junkyard linkage from EJ8 manual or Em1. as for the actual shifter i, can i just change the auto shifter to a manual, or is fabrication needed( cutting, welding, making wholes, Etc)?

The swap should come with the correct shift linkage, if not then you need a B-series linkage for the motor your swapping in. You'll need a pedal assembly, clutch master and slave cylinder, and clutch lines.

You need to take your current motor and learn how to work on it. Don't attempt a swap without the knowledge to do one.

the linkage from the motor wont work. you will need everything off an EM1 99-00SI

I agree. No offense to the OP, but this swap does seem a little beyond his current knowledge level. Sure, you have to jump into modding somehow, but I wouldn't start with a swap.

That said, here's a swapguide for a B18C1 into an EJ8: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/swapguide-00-01-b18c1-into-99-00-civic-lots-pics-2334716/

It's not 100% step-by-step, but it should give you a pretty good idea of everything involved in this swap. It also doesn't cover anything about the auto to manual conversion... I've never done one of those.

So a B18C GSR linkage wont work but a B18C Type R link will? The Integra Type R linkage fit perfectly into my EK
