b16a oil pump

Default b16a oil pump

what the diffrence between a oil pump for a 94 sol and a 99 civic . i am ordering one for my obd 1 civic and a 99 civic one is cheaper

IIRC they are interchangeable.

They big difference between the two is that the OBD2 B16A2 99-00 pump has the CKP sensor (TDC sensor) mounted to it, and the OBD1 B16A3 has the CKP in the distributor.

Pretty sure you can use the OBD2 pump on your OBD1 engine, you won't need the OBD2 CKP. It won't come with it anyway, you'd have to order it separately.


Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks trying to save some money. bottom end rebuild and turbo all at one time is eatting my lunch lol

all the oil pumps for the DOHC obd2 engines are the same. The difference as stated above is the ckf sensor.

I ran an obd2 oil pump setup in a obd1 engine, but kep the ckf sensor. Dont remember if Not having it would make a difference. ( incase the actual oil pump does not come with it from the dealer as mcvtec stated )
