I am looking to invest into an oil pressure gauge. I have decided to go with a higher quality than the everyday autometer gauges. I wanted to get some input on gauges that match the stock cluster. I think the Greddy looks pretty similar. I was hoping to see pictures of it all lit up together but I can't seem to find any. Anyone have some?

Yeah, I have seen that. It doesn't show how well the ambers match though.

 

Defi makes some gauges that are amber, should come pretty close. thats what i was looking to get.

from what i have gathered on these is that they are solid gauges. the ranges they work in arent retarded like some of the autometers, so you can actually use them.

also, i wouldnt get a mechanical gauge. i sure as hell dont want oil spraying all over the inside of my R if that **** fails. get an electronic.

 

Yeah, definitely not getting mechanical. I just bought the Greddy oil pressure gauge. I will post up pictures after install so I can answer my question for future reference.

That looks pretty red, instead of amber. Update: I ordered some nice stuff to install the gauge.

 

Here is the Greddy oil pressure gauge installed, I used an autometer carbon fiber mounting cup. It needed some modifying to fit the gauge, but came out really clean. The gauge color is identical to the stock amber, it is slightly brighter due to the L.e.d. in the gauge. I also used a blox oil filter adapter to run the greddy sensor. Cheap method, and a clean set up. All together this ran me about $200.
