crome pro datalogging readout through sony vaio to pioneer avic-x910bt dounle din
so here's what just popped into my head. I have a pioneer avic-x910bt that i am fitting into my del sol... double din touch screen nav yada yada yada. What i want to do is use the video out of my gf's old sony vaio 12" laptop that she no longer uses, and mount it somewhere in the vehicle. Obviously i won't be able to use the headunit to control anything, but i was thinking i could get crome pro's datalogging gauge readout on the screen. I am wondering if anyone else has ever thought of doing this or has done it. Thoughts, ideas, concerns welcome.
I had a setup similar briefly, not as handy as you would think.
you have to start the display every time you want it to work, not really useful for every day use. Especially with the bootup/shutdown times factored in there.
easier to run a tunerview or some sort of PLX iMFD gauge setup.

ah very true... that boot up time would suck. i didn't even think of that, plus i would have to open crome every time as well so i'd have to be able to access the computer.
I'll just stick with the MacBook running parallels.
Thanks!

yea i may do that. I don't really NEED to do it, it just seemed like a convenient idea... but yea neptune and tunerview may be the way to go.
NepTune would be awesome with your MacBook. There's a Mac version of the NepTune RTP software.
But really, the TunerView works with Crome just fine.
