I am just wondering what the average cost is to replce the haed on a non vtec 94 prelude including labor, because my friend just got his done and he apyed a **** load of cash.

what u need done? bent vales is not that bad. about 200ish for labor just for the valve job and shave.... + about 350ish to have the head pulled off and put back on.

 

also the head gasket kit(about $150), the cost of each valve, which is a rip off from honda(about $40 each i think), and an oil change! and you probably might get a couple more little suprises, depending on your mechanic!

 

damnnnnnnnn taht is a lot of money!! i am glad i know how to work on my lude. You can find Heads on ebay for around $50-200 in decent shape. From what it sounds like. if you got Honda to repair your head you might as well buy a full GUDE head package instead hahaha... Good luck man
