Default D engine header question!?

Does the VTEC SOHC ZC (D16Z6) header fit to the DOHC ZC (D16A8, D16A9 and D16Z5) engines??? Anyone who know this for sure? I'm thinking of buying a new header for my car. I want to be sure of buying the right one without any fitting problems! Are the ports matching also?

Thanks for the help, guys!

He asked if they fit the answer is yes. As far as port matching that can also be done.

Yeah i understand that they bolt on, and i also know that port matching CAN be done, but i was asking if it should be done.

No use having a header that fits, but doesn't line up with the ports.

This is where you really cant get help bro. Get an exhaust gasket for the head you want to run and check to see if the ports on the header match. If not then port the header flange.

No you won't gain 100hp by port matching but at least he won't LOSE hp from not port matching.

The SOHC ZC / D16Z6 header does NOT fit on the DOHC ZC / D16Z5/A8/A9 engine. U can bolt it on but the ports will not match. I have compared the gaskets.

You may be right, but you really can't tell by the just looking at the gaskets. Most gaskets have to be trimmed to actually fit properly. Check Jlicrx's posts for super accurate info...good luck....
