I have a 91 hatch with a D16A6 in it like the title says and me and my buddy in his accord were running our cars hard down the highway cruising at 5,000 full throttle in 5th gear well when i finally slow down and got off on the exit ramp and camp to a stop my car would barley stay at an idle and when i accel the car stutters really bad and at a stop it just dies. Ive had problems with when i take the car over 4,000 rpm it blows oil out the exhaust(i know dumb of me to run it hard) previous to the car dying and still having the oil problem all of my compression and leak down tests were good im figuring the head to be the problem with leaking valve seals. well now this **** happens i checked the oil when i got home and it is and inch above the fill mark and the coolant overflow is full kinda odd? neither seem to have coolant or oil mixed and no CEL any ides???

 

over 4000 isnt running it hard if you do correct maintanence

 

i Know that and ive maintained this thing since i got it but has always over 4,000 grand ate oil and now it is running ruogh and not eating oil doesnt make sense and idk why it is running bad no. I was saying it was bad to be running it hard knowing that it eats oil over 4,000 but this time it didnt so something is seriously wrong and the engine barley runs now just confused and dont have time to fully tear the motor apart

 

yeah i change the oil every 2,000 miles eventhough it goes low in a week and i recently put new coolant and a radiator in it about a month ago along with new plugs and wires and fuel filter anything that you could service has been done in the past month and ive only put about 3,000 on it since then

 

ok well i checked it out more today and drove it a little cylinder 3 is wiped out i have tons of fuel in my oil pan now. My buddy has a rebuilt d15b2 block that he said he will give me its been sitting so i would put new reings bearings ans seals in it but my ? is can i use my new a6 head and head bolts on this motor and should i swap the a6 crank or other parts over what can i use and is it worth it. i would eventually like to look at possibly boosting this motor but im all motor now thank u

 

he also has b18 ls rods he said i can have as well
