I just got a Dohc ZC motor that im planning to put into my crx,
is there a repair manual to follow when rebuilding this motor?
is jdm version and i cant get any real oem specs is it hard to rebuild this motor???
what oem parts to use also?
i just want it factory is it rare to find parts?

 

the specs for the bottom end (short block) are the same as for the 88-91 CRX/Civic Si D16A6 SOHC, except for the oil pump - the head specs are obviously different for the DOHC

parts are not hard to get - the timing belt for the DOHC ZC is the same as the timing belt for the 88 Prelude 2.0 Si - Honda Part No. 14400-PK2-004 - all of the rest of the parts (except pistons) for the short block (gaskets, bearings, rings, water pump, timing belt tensioner, etc.) are the same as for the D16A6 - the pistons are the same as the 88-89 Integra D16A1 - all of the parts in the head are the same as 88-89 Integra D16A1 - head gasket, intake manifold gasket, valve cover gasket and exhaust gasket are the same as 88-89 Integra D16A1 - distributor and cylinder sensor on the exhaust camshaft are the same as 88-89 Integra D16A1 - the oil pump is ZC specific and not available from US parts sources - you can use the D16A6 oil pump - camshaft timing belt gears and crankshaft timing belt gear are ZC specific

 

Order a Haynes manual 1830 for the Rover 216 & 413 from the internet might have to come from the UK but that is the manual you want for the engine(D16A8/D16A9 ZC).
