Here is the deal... Struts are Tokico hp's they are about 3 months old. And currently running with eibach sport lines 1.8 drop in the front and 1.7 drop in the rear i belive. This is acually my sis's car its a 94 accord sedan and she sais that the car is too low and she is wanting to replace her springs with a set that doesnt lower her car as much cause she is tired of scrrpeing speed bumps and some shopping center enterences/exits. What do you guys reccommend?? Feedback would be great.

It doesn't take much for accords to scrape honestly. the underside and mudflaps hang real low. Some H&R sports would work out pretty well. I believe they are about 1.5" drop. Or the Eibach pro kit is even higher then that. I wonder if the sportlines might have a lil bit of sag in them as well (although they are not supposed to sag at all according to the manufacturer).

Hmm... I might consider the H&R's... Are the eibach pro kits stiffer than the sport lines?? Because i dont think she will like a harsh ride.
I have a 94 and im sitting on tokico blues with H&R sport springs. extremely comfortable ride
however youll scrape on almost every speed bump depending on your tire/wheel set up. Normally i roll on 205/16/55 and i dont scrape on hardly anything with those wheels but in the winter when im on the stock wheels and hubs (195/14/70) i scrape on every speed bump. front lip scrapes if you take a drive way wrong, too.

^^^those 14's you run in the winter are only .13" smaller in diameter than your 16's. i think its more of the snow build up you are scraping than anything. since that is diameter that i gave you the car is only lowered half that much more with the 14's on. you wouldn't even notice a .065" drop if i told you i dropped my car and showed you before and after pics. i guess depending on how much you are lowered already then that small drop could be just enough for you to scrape more though, but i really think it is something else causing you to scrape more often in the winter.
I scrape already on Pro-Kits. I am on the stock 15" rims and the tire sidewalls are compressed. I'm sure with bigger wheels and stronger sidewall, prokits would be just fine.

its a much better feeling to be able to go straight over a speed bump and not even worry about scraping

Ok cool... One question shes going to get some new tires and were kind of stuck on wat sizes we should go with. I was thinking of 195 or 205 and 50 series or 55 series. I was leaning towards the 55 series more since its a bit taller but i am undecided. Wat do u guys think??
i put my 16's back on two days ago and havnt scraped once yet..i dont know i realized too that it wasnt really a big different between wheel set ups but it sure was when your driving. my oil pan and downpipe have some nice gashes in them from sitting on the hubs for so long.

. She is quite an aggresive driver, I think all females are LOL. She only slows down for sppeded bumps but when it comes to entrences nd exits of shopping centers she tends to forget that her car is lowered.
i guess i didn't really think about the amount more that the sidewalls on the 14's would compress going over speed bumps or up driveways. that is probably what makes the difference for you more than anything. sitting flat you would never notice the difference but the sidewalls probably compress half an inch, maybe a little more, (just a guess based on how much my 15's appear to compress) on harsh bumps.
i got a 2inch drop on mine from sprint springs which really feels like 2.5... winter i ride on 195 60 15 and i tend to take every exist and entrance or else speed bump at an angle summer i ride on 17s 205 45 17 which is alot better

I believe the tires she is on are 195/60/15 i just ordered a set of tein h tech lowering springs, i was thinking that she might be better off staying with the 195/60/15 then going with the 195/55/15 so she can have less off a chance of scraping since the tire will be a bit taller. what do you guys think?
as long as she isn't haveing any problems with her tires rubbing i would stay with the same size. you might want to wait a week or so after installing the new springs to see if that size is good. if theres rubbing issues then go with the shorter sidewalls.

Ill just tell her to use her current stock rims which have the 195/60/15 after she installs the TEIN lowering springs and wait about 2 weeks until the springs settle down and if there is no rubbing ill just let her buy the same size tires for her new rims which are also 15's. THNX for the feedback. Will let you guys know how everything goes
i like 205/60/15 on my stock ex rims for summer. they are just wider. for winter i generally go with 195/60/15 because skinnier tires are better for ice/snow. wide tires+snow or ice=skiis=
thats just my preference though. no reason 195s wouldn't be fine for summer too. i mainly just like the way they look.

Hmm... I might tell her to consider the 205's. When your riding on your 205/60/15's do you have any rubbing issues?? What is your suspension setup??Strut/spring?? How much does your spring drop in front and rear if after market spring
i have no rubbing issues. but my suspension is stock (just waiting for something to get worn so i can justify lowering.) i would suggest getting someone elses opinion who is lowered. i believe i have seen people running 205's when lowered but cannot be possitive. hopefully someone else can chime in while she is testing her old tires with the new springs.
I'm was on 205/16/55's with about a 2 inch drop front and 1.75 rear and I never rubbed. But I just got new proxies that are 60 series instead and I rub now..it's only when going in and out driveways and stuff if you just pay attention you'll be fine
