Default DOHC ECOTEC ENGINE INTO 91 DX

Ok so I have been thinking a lot about this and was talking to some people. I have seen some crazy swaps but not into hondas much. I was wondering if anybody out there knew of somebody or hell even knew if I could DROP a 2008 CHEVY COBALT SS TURBOCHARGED engine into my 91DX? I need to know if anybody has done it and if so where can I go for further guidence. I was going to buy a K20z3 with only 2600 miles on it with the tranny and harness and clutch cables but the guy wanted 5k. The ECOTEC engine with everything brand new is only 2k and its pushing 260hp. So please let me know what yall think

I wouldnt even try. Personal experiences working on those things their garbage engines in my opinion. Everything is cheap **** fall apart.

You would need custom mounts custom axels, custom engine harness, custom throttle, and clutch. Pretty much everything to do w/ it will have to be custom and even then, Their may not be enough clearance to fit that engine in their.

...ever built a wiring harness? or custom motor mounts? or modified half shafts?
I guess it's not impossible, but I don't see how it would be practical.
there's plenty of Honda motors that can push 260hp with good rods, pistons, and a turbo.

Why a Eco? I mean, I like the Eco motor's personally. There is a LOT of untapped power in them. Hell, Hahn Turbo's is fighting a average Joe tunner for the fastest eco. lol

But If you really want to put power down some power, and do something very uncommon there is a option for you. Honda v6. Can't remember the engine code, but v6 from an Odyssey. I can't remember who makes the swap kits, but if you search google I am sure you'll find it. They did the swap on a EG Coupe with great pictures on how to go about it.

Garbage engines you must be thinking about the older ones, but the one from the 2008 COBALT SS is pretty dam amazing. I know a lot of the parts would have to be custom and that is a pain in the ***, and I do know that there are plenty of good honda engines that can surpass the 260hp, but the thing is I dont want a Bseries engine and a K20 aside from the lame *** K20a3 are so expensive and common. I was just looking to see if it was even possible or if yall knew anybody who has done a swap like this

I know you can make great power on honda engines but I live in hawaii and trying to source a good enough K20 out here is dam near impossible, and to purchase from the mainland and have it shipped here is pretty expensive and not to mention sketchy.... If I could have it my way I would source a K20Z3 from a 2008 Civic SI swap the rods and pistons and build the block and drop it in my 91dx but like I said that **** is so ****ing expensive here. I found a guy that was selling a K20a for 8k thats crazy

Idk in my short stent working at a Chevy dealership, I had alot of cobalt engines come in with issues. Sensors going bad, fuel trims off, parts breaking. I spent about 6 months and i worked on a **** ton.

Maybe they got better, Im just posting off my own personal experiances

Just because it's possible doesn't make it a good idea.
