I am looking into purchasing the manual P/N 61S8400 (now $60, but there's a catch).

When I added the item to my cart, it had this disclaimer in the description: "This manual is a digital reprint of the original publication. It is possible that this item will be in loose-leaf format, if so, a binder will be included. Any wiring diagrams in the original shop/service manual are NOT reproduceable and are no longer available."

Has anyone ordered this "digital reprint" issue? It seems the wiring diagrams are important, (I don't usually do electrical work, just maintenance) but if necessary I might use them. Is it still worth buying, is there a lot of missing information compared to the original edition?

 

I have a PDF of the 5th gen accord, and there is a lot of stuff when it comes to electrical. Between the full blown wiring diagrams for everything to diagnosis and flow charts of different systems. Definitely helpful when trying to figure something out.

 

I think I have a copy of that manual, but it may be of the entire manual and not a "digital reprint". Is there a full PDF copy for the 6th generation available?

 

as far as i know there is no 6th gen service manual pdf available. i have searched ALOT! either Ghost or Touring asked me for it because i thought i had seen it when i downloaded mine (for a 5th gen) and after searching for hours i am pretty confident that there isn't one out there.

my guess as to why that one says it may be missing wiring diagrams is that they are not released to the public. i suggest looking around and trying to find one that says it is an original. i haven't looked for one but will try to do so tomorrow. i'll let you know if i can find one.

 

that disclaimer bothered me too. i started looking for a good, used original print hard copy. finally found one on amazon for a good deal. there were others on eBay.com but i didn't like the prices they were going for used.

the full wiring diagrams are in it. that was one of my main reasons for wanting it.

I found one original HELM manual for 1999 Accord on ebay. Looks very used, but is probably still usable.

 

Has anyone purchased the CD/DVD version of the factory service manual that are available on eBay? They seem sort of non-legitimate.

BTW: There is a 1999 iso floating around, which I have taken a look at, but it appears to be a non-US version. You can make a decent pdf copy of it if you print to pdf in letter size pages. The information is disorganized, but it is there (although it's non-US).
