Default b16a head gasket issue.. imput please

ok im a decent mechanic, my 91 civic with a b16a swap is having issues..
i think headgasket or a crack in head or block is all...
car smokes white(kinda clear thick foggy smoke) when its cold..
when hot (temp gauge reading half way) it clears up.
exuast tip is wet, usully dry blacknes! this is wet!
my radiator will not build presher...
i removed thermostat drove for 20min temp reading at halfway point fan on..
got home hoses had no presher. removed cap with no problem(no water rushing out)over flow tank get full qick.

car has new water pump in it i know its good and not an issue..
could it be the ratitor cap?

could the headgasket beeing bad (sucking in coolent) also cause ther to be presser building up..

also on another note comp test is as follows
1-205psi. 2-201psi. 3-200psi 4-198psi which is very good.

any input would be usefull thanks

If there's no pressure, then your overflow bottle shouldn't be filling. What's the seal like on your radiator cap? Does the over flow bottle drain after the car cools down?

nop it dose not drain back in to the rad...
it only fills up the bottle cuz i think the cap is broken..
when i burp the system if i rev it up when full the coolent will rise and flow out of the rad...

still at a lose kinda... so mabey my headgasket is a lil blown and also my rad cap sucks.

and if i drive the car after burping and rad is full..
at full temp the cars rad hose's will be soft and not hard..
and i can take my cap off with no water rushing at me...
but i can see water in the rad..

Sounds like your rad cap is stuffed, try a new one.

Eh, i doubt it. If the fan comes on then it's probably regulating it's temperature. It's not essential for the cooling system to be under pressure for it to work. It just allows the system to be more efficient.

The extra pressure just raises the boiling point of the water/coolant mix.
