SRS light on
Well, since I was having issues with my ignition and needed to inquire about the clutch master issue I was having, I went to my local dealership. After running my VIN, they told me that yes there was an active recall on my ignition switch....sweet! Anyway, when I went to pick up my vehicle the service rep told me that my car was ready, but that my SRS warning light was on. I told it wasn't on before. Unfortunately, I was pressed for time and HAD to leave before resolving the issue right then and there. I know with absolute certainty that my SRS light was NOT on previous to dropping my car off. In fact, I just reset my required maintenance light off the other day, and I ALWAYS watch my gauges.
My question is...in the act of replacing the ignition switch could the tech have accidentally disconnected something or messed something up? I later scanned it and no codes came up. Anyone have any clue what it could be?
EDIT: Im going to clear the code manually and see if comes back....

its possible that the tech could have damaged/disconnected the srs cable reel when doing your ingition recall...but if you have a 98-02 accord, the srs light might be on for a 9-3 dr's seat belt buckle..very common..
however, these are just speculations...wont know for sure untill you actually pull the srs dtc

Scanned it = No Codes.
Cleared SRS = Came Back.
Got Pissed = Drove to Honda
1 Hour Later = "Sorry sir, it seems our technician inadvertently damaged your cable reel when he replaced your ignition switch, the part will be here tomorrow...we're very sorry about this sir. Everything will be taken care of, free of charge of course."
They broke my friggin cable reel... lol Well, at least its getting taken care of.
