my gsr is starting to rod know, so i will be pllin the motor shortly. i have my b18c5 short block with a gsr head that i want to drop in. will the gsr ecu be ok? i just have aem shortram and the jdm itr headers. the cars a 96 gsr and i have the 96 gsr ecu in it now, what ecu will work best?thanks in advance
you should always tune to get the most out of it ........ but the c5 block is only slightly higher compression than the stock GSR
it should run fine but like i said you should always get it tuned asap
a type-R ecu would be the way to go but it does not have IAB's so if you do that i would recommend a single plane intake manifold
maybe just bump up the fuel pressure a little to make sure your not running lean with the gsr ecu
