Why is it that a timing belt kit on ebay does not contain an oil pump? It comes with just about everything you might think in necessary to do a timing belt change. But no oil pump!

 

oil pump replacement is not part of a normal timing belt change. timing belt & tensioner, balancer belt & tensioner, water pump, maybe a few oil seals while your in there.

i dont even think the oil pump has a recommended repalcement interval, they should last quite a while. if you want to change it while your in there just for peace of mind then go for it
