this could be a complete fail. but anyways i was wondering if its possible to make your si seats sit lower. or are they basically that height. i personally like the feel of bucket seats how they sit nice and low, but like the comfort of the stock si's. and ideas on this? thanks

 

well the only thin i could think of would be to trim the foam down a little

 

You could rock the del aol seats. When I had them in my crx I sat lower

 

Take the seat pan off the rails and weld it to the floor.

 

delsol seats are pretty low....i think those would be your best bet...

 

preludes sit on the floor....i love em, never goin back!

I just pulled my seats out today to do some carpet cleaning and I don't see any simple way to get them any lower.

 

you could fab your own brackets, retaining the stock mounting holes on both the floor of the car and on the bottom of the seat.

if you just made square stock rails, cut & welded the stock for the contour of the floor, you could basically sit and inch or 2 off the floor.

the only downside is that your seat would be in one fixed position, as you would delete the slider.

 

Are second gen SI seats higher than first gen? My 86CRXSI made me feel like i was literally on the floor.

 

There are a couple of companies that make a "low" slider set up. Maybe Sparco? Recaro? etc....good luck
